CUPPING THERAPY

cupping-massage-therapy-featured.jpg

Cupping has been used for thousands of years for relaxing muscle fibres, invigorating blood circulation, detoxification, releasing pathogenic factors and clearing heat. Fire cupping, utilises the warmth of the flame to create a negative pressure and cause suction when the cup is placed on the skin. Cups may be either be placed on certain parts of the body and be left for 5-10 minutes (still cupping) or be moved around to provide an inverted massage (mobile cupping or moving cups). The suctioning affect is known to help relieve pain, tightness, common colds and chest tightness.
